BoatShop Summer Camp Preschool

9AM-4PM DAILY

Pre School Camp students will:

  • be introduced to the BoatShop’s world of boats

  • explore Gig Harbor aboard electric boats

  • go sailing aboard Thunderbird No. 2, Pirouette

  • be introduced to Gig Harbor’s historic working waterfront aboard Veteran, in the Skansie NetShed and at the Eddon Boatyard shops 

  • explore Donkey Creek’s salmon habitat

  • learn basic knots and how to tie a boat to a cleat

  • be introduced to the compass and how it works on a boat

  • build a toy model of Veteran learning how to use the basic tools of a shipwright

What to bring to Camp each day to maximize your child's camp experience. Please bring with you each day:

1. A sack lunch - We have a refrigerator available to store food until lunch time

2. A water bottle

3. Sunscreen

4. A hat with a bill 

5. Closed toed shoes for work in the Shop

6. Water shoes for on the water activities

7. A change of clothes

Please plan to allocate 30 minutes on Monday morning at 9am for camp orientation and registration with your child. Registration and drop off (9am) and pick up (4pm) will occur at the Boatyard house (brick house down the driveway) each day.
