FAQs

Do I need a boating license?

No. A boating license is not required. However, we do require that the renter/driver of the boat is 21 years or older with a valid drivers license.

Can pets ride in the boat?

Yes! Pets are welcome to ride in our boats. We strongly encourage that your pet wears a life vest.

Do you provide life jackets?

Yes! PFDs are required. We provide life jackets in various adult and youth sizes. However, you’re welcome to bring your own life vest if you’d prefer.

Can I go outside of Gig Harbor Bay?

No. Due to the size and power of our boats, they must stay within the confines of the bay. Our dock master will provide you with a map that outlines the limits.

Can I fish or crab from the boat?

Yes! You’re welcome to fish or crab from our boats. Just be sure you have a valid fishing license.

Are the electric boats fast?

No. The electric launches are powered by batteries similar to those in golf carts. While our electric boats aren’t built for speed, they are the perfect boats to putter around the harbor in.
