Jack McMahon has been a performing singer-songwriter for all of his adult life. From his teenage years, as leader of ‘60s New Jersey rock band, The Night Watch and some early ‘70s work as a demo singer for renowned Brill Building songwriters, Jack’s colorful voice, and his penchant for writing smart lyrics and tuneful hooks soon brought him to the attention of Columbia Records, and New York City nightclubs where he opened for rising stars Bruce Springsteen, The New York Dolls, and Steely Dan. Jack relocated to Portland, Oregon in 1973, and quickly established himself as one of the city’s premiere musical talents. He’s been a mainstay of the regional scene ever since.

His songs have been covered by the Cowboy Angels, Gary Ogan, Craig Carothers, and the Freak Mountain Ramblers. Equally at home in genres from folk and rock, to country and R&B, his unique soulful voice, and journeyman guitar chops combine to create an indelible signature sound. James Taylor, Jackson Browne, Steve Earle, and Bob Dylan are all big influences, but creatively, Jack McMahon is his own man. With six studio albums to his credit thus far, Jack McMahon is a veteran artist and a seasoned performer who delights listeners, and continues to thrill new audiences everywhere.
