Boat Restoration

Boat restoration and repair

Boats have been built at the Eddon Boatyard site for nearly 100 years. We carry that tradition forward by offering restoration and repair services to the public. Let our master boatwrights and talented volunteers restore your wood boat to its original beauty. Your business will support Gig Harbor BoatShop’s mission.

We are wood boat experts and consider all projects on wood boats, or wooden components of boats. Due to space constraints, boats must be trailerable or hand portable. If you have a project you’d like us to look at, follow these steps:

  1. Email the project specifics, and photos, to info@gigharborboatshop.org.

  2. If we think your project might be a good fit for our expertise and availability, we will schedule a time for you to bring your boat to the BoatShop so we can look at it in person. We’ll examine it and ask questions to learn more about your project. At the end of the consultation, you’ll take your boat back home.

  3. If we still think your project is a good fit, we’ll send you a cost estimate and rough timeline of when we think we can complete the work.

  4. If you accept the estimate, we’ll work with you to schedule a time to bring your boat back to the BoatShop.

  5. A team of dedicated volunteers led by a master boatwright will complete your project!
